Polygons representing San Diego Bay and Mission Bay were created by tracing coastline from the National Hydrology Dataset Flowline layer. The layer is intended for use for cartographic purposesLagoons were digitized approximately from looking at NHD data, aerial imagery and are approximate only. Not for use other than cartographic purposes on small scale maps. The Type attribute can be used to display bays or lagoons.
