Description: Opioid misuse remains a major problem in the United States, causing significant impacts for individuals, families, friends, employers, co-workers, and neighbors. No one is immune to its devastating effects. View this report, https://www.suopt.org/report-cards, to see how it has impacted San Diego County.Here you can find substance use and medication assisted treatment (MAT) resources in San Diego County for you or someone you love to access help. These facilities or clinics are where individuals with substance use disorders can receive medical care, counseling, and medications that help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms. These medications are often used as part of a broader treatment plan to support individuals in their recovery.The California Bridge programs at local emergency departments save lives by making it possible for people who use drugs to get treatment whenever and -wherever they need it. They provide immediate relief for patients experiencing withdrawal symptoms, and once stabilized, engage with a navigator – often a peer with lived experience – to discuss harm reduction and ongoing treatment. If you or someone you care about is in crisis or would like behavioral health resources or support, please call the Access and Crisis Line at (888) 724-7240 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
