Voters throughout the state will decide whether to adopt Proposition 50, an amendment to the State Constitution related to redistricting. Additionally, voters residing in the City of Poway Council District 2 will have an additional question on their ballot. Poway district 2 voters will decide whether to recall (remove) their elected representative on the city council from office. Only voters living in council district 2 are eligible to vote on this contest.For the function of conducting elections in the County of San Diego, precinct consolidations are used to combine the latest established adjoining voter home precinct tracts within the same ballot group into election precincts. This insures everyone within a particular election precinct to vote on the same set of issues. Consolidation is an election-specific process and is not permanent. |
