Description: Lifeguard Towers for City beaches within San Diego County. Consolidated dataset compiled by SanGIS comprising data provided by City of San Diego Fire-Rescue and Northcomm.City of San Diego points include both Permanent (P) and Seasonal (S) stations. It allows emergency planning staff to give the most accurate locations of the towers for use by managers, dispatchers and the public when referencing these locations. The permanent stations do not change their locations. Occasionally the Seasonal tower locations are moved or added to when public safety needs are reevaluated for strategic planning purposes.
