This data is dissolved from the Automated Regional Justice Information System (ARJIS) Law Beat boundaries. Not all incorporated cities in the County of San Diego have a police force. Many cities contract with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department for law enformcement. This layer will identify the jurisidcition responsible for law enforcement at a particular point - either the County of San Diego Sheriff's Department or the incorporated city.This layer is primarily for the use of public safety personnel for incident response tracking and reporting.
