description:
|
This dataset delineates the village and rural village boundaries with the unincorporated areas of San Diego County. These boundaries have been created by members of each community group along with County staff and are adopted with each iteration of the County's General Plan. When updating Community Plans, communities are encouraged to delineate areas within their plans that will assist with the future planning of developments, infrastructure, facilities, and regulations. An Urban Limit Line and/or Village Boundary may be defined in the Community Plan as a community-specific growth boundary that identifies an area to which development should be directed. These boundaries may also serve as the basis for community specific goals and policies. For more information, please see the Land Use Element in the County's General Plan Update document: http://www.sdcounty.ca.gov/dplu/gpupdate/draftgp.html |
