Description: The San Diego County parcel wastewater designation layer provides a sewer, septic, or not known wastewater designation for parcels in San Diego County. These designations were determined by collecting data from sewer agencies and the County of San Diego to establish a screening criterion with varying levels of confidence and is current through May 2025.The parcel designation is based on the minimum confidence level. • Known Sewer (1)• Known Septic (2)• Likely Septic (3)• Assumed Sewer (per infrastructure) (4)• Assumed Sewer (per boundary) (5)• Assumed Septic (6)• Not KnownConfidence Levels range from 1-6. Null or blank values indicate "Not Known".1: APN confirmed to be sewer connected by agency or by County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality (DEHQ) records and inventory.2: APN confirmed to be septic connected by agency, DEHQ records and inventory, or participated in the County’s Septic Rebate Program. 3: APN is associated with DEHQ-septic related records or did not complete the County’s Septic Rebate Program.4: APN intersects a sewer main (175-ft buffer), a sewer manhole (175-ft buffer), or a sewer lateral (no buffer).5: APN intersects a sewer area boundary or a jurisdiction boundary. This attribute is limited to the sewer service areas where limited or no sewer infrastructure was received, or to the jurisdictions where limited or no sewer infrastructure was received.6: APN contains a building onsite greater than 750 square feet or indicates a bathroom is present.
